The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) conducted DUI selective enforcement on St. Patrick’s Day 2011. The primary focus of the enforcement activity was to arrest drivers who were under the influence of alcohol. The Nebraska Office of Highway Safety (NOHS) provided a maximum of $3,000.00 grant funds for this enforcement effort.

During the St. Patrick’s Day selective enforcement, the DCSO compiled the below listed statistics:

• Traffic Stops – 45
• Written warnings – 9
• Verbal warnings – 25
  Felony Arrests: 1
• 1 – Possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver

• Misdemeanor Citations: 9
• 6 - DUI
• 1 - No proof of insurance
• 1 - Possession of marijuana < 1 oz.
• 1 - Possession of drug paraphernalia

• Traffic Citations: 8
• 2 – Expired Registration
• 1 – Fictitious plates
• 1 – Taillight out
• 1 – No operator’s license
• 1 – No valid registration
• 1 – Traffic Signal
• 1 – Driving left of center
•  
• Drugs Seized:
• 7.16 grams methamphetamine
• 0.50 oz. marijuana

• Vehicles Impounded: 3
